Freelance Drafting, Design and Production Work

For over 20 years I have been providing local Architects with high quality freelance drafting, design and production work on an as needed basis. As either an on or off site consultant I have worked with firms in Boston, Norwood, Lexington, Lincoln, Newton, Sherborn, Wayland and Natick. I have solid experience in Autocad and some experience with Sketchup and Revit. I have also had training in and often use REScheck energy code software and I-Level structural software. From the beginning of my consulting days I have been set up as a legal sole proprietorship with a tax I.D. number.

I consider myself to be a “nuts and bolts” designer. My strength and specialty is turning out solid sets of drawings. Through years of working directly with builders and Engineers, and from my own construction experience and many continuing education seminars, I have developed a strong working knowledge of building technology, structure, materials and practical construction methodology. Though I have specialized in wood fame construction for most of the past 16 years, I have worked on larger projects in the past. While working in a variety of firms I worked on and managed projects including warehouses, corporate office buildings, medical facilities and a historical theater.

My educational background includes a number of years at the Boston Architectural Center (now College) Bachelor of Architecture program. While I do not have a
B. Arch degree and am not licensed, the firms with whom I’ve worked have recognized and come to respect my experience, honesty, hard work and production abilities.
